And although the article spells out the dangers after even a little rain, according to the radio eight or so people had to be helicoptered out last weekend in two separate incidents. August is listed as one of the favourable months but it only takes a shower to make the steep climbs very treacherous.

the track was closed for all of 2010, council said it would be awhile before it was open as they are behind in track repair and the bad weather. So would not like to see the bill they receive to recover their cars.

The problem will be with people going in there ill prepared to what conditions the track can deteriorate to a a drop of the hat, another track will most likely be closed.

When it is dry it is easy to negotiate, when wet it can be treacherous. You have to go in prepared for an extended stay and wait until it dries out enough to be safe.

I do not think you should be helicoptered out, unless it is an emergency.
