Mark (Geelong)
Just returned tonight after a quick trip up go Cooper Ck ferry
Travelled via
Mildura to Coomba turned off and went across to
Yunta via
Loch Lily Stn
Wife had a few gates to open but track was good to
Loch Lilly and excellent through to
Yunta
Noticed a
road closed sign back towards
Renmark at turn off after Oakvale through to Danngali Conservation Park
Road from
Yunta to Arkaroola in good condition with caution over floodways
Arkaroola to
Copley good condition with recently graded road
Birdsville track to Cooper Ck was ok considering recent
Birdsville race traffic
Did Chopper flight over Floodway out to Lutheran mission
Ruins
Paul the chopper pilot was very informative
Ferry operators very co operative considering the recent busy time with race traffic and hold ups
No rats on south side of crossing and plenty of campers
Returned via
Flinders Ranges to
Morgan and a
great camp last night on banks of river at Loxton meeting up with a couple returning to Sunbury after 4 months touring
A quick 3500 klm trip over 6 days but got to see plenty of country and trouble free

Hi Mark
It sounds like you had a ball. Good to hear you had a helicopter flight and Paul is a top pilot.
Looking forward to your blog and photos.
Cheers
Stephen

Hi Mark sound like you had a great time. Where abouts in Loxton did you stay as we also will be leaving from Geelong in a couple of weeks to head up that way, and we were looking for a great spot to stay on the first night.
Cheers Marion

If you head North of Loxton on the
Berri road the turn off is a couple of klms past Mcguigan Wines
You turn of to the left towards river and wind around past the
boat ramp
Grab some wood along the way if you can as it is pretty scarce as others have cleaned it out
It is basic
bush camping but there are some rubbish
bins there
