We can hear you without SHOUTING. (Use lower case for messaging, as upper case is considered shouting...and in long sections of text is harder to read)

Nick: In internet/email protocols, words typed in CAPITALS are deemed to be shouting - the more moderate of us would probably see it as just emphasising. Some folk are very sensitive about the use of CAPITALS - others don't get too hot under the collar about it.

Agreed...it's seldom EVERYTHING someone says needs emphasizing.

I'm wondering what ferry you are talking about here Snailbait......the Upper Daintree River is a fording and the Wujal Wujal end just joins the Cape Trip track....so I'm guessing you are talking about the Daintree River ferry if you turn south to Mossman. No ferry at all if you head out via the Lions Den and then swing a lefty on the Mulligan Hwy back to Mareeba. That said if you've not done it before the track back to Mossman via the Daintree ferry is a nice drive.

Or do the loop, Lions Den to Daintree via Bloomfield track, stop at Noah beach $5.00 per night on the beach, camping in the rianfroest. Cross the ferry and do the CREB back to the Lion's Den nice trip.

There is no Ferry Crossing if you use the CREB Track.

The Ferry Crossing is on the Bloomfield Track.

From the South you go past the Ferry Turnoff through Daintree and quite a few Ks past to get to the Southern side of the CREB Track. The Northern End comes out north of Wujul Wujul (where the Bloomfield Crossing is) and South of Ayton back on to the Bloomfield Track.

From here you go North to Cooktown via Ayton and the Lions Den or head back South through Wujal Wujal over the Bloomfield down the Bloomfield Track and then hit the Daintree Ferry Crossing.

Hope that clears up the matter :-)

Cheers Tony
