Quilpie to Noccundra is all sealed...not sure of down to the border but I can tell you if you want to do the short cut down through Boulia/Bedourie and Windorah the roads are in excellent order ATM.

We drove Noccundra to Warri gate a couple of years ago towing an offroad trailer. The road at that time was an excellent sandy road. The pub will be able to give you up to date details on the road conditions.

You can camp opposite the pub on the Wilson river, showers and toilets in the shed next to the pub for a donation to the RFS. We had a great meal at the pub and had a great night catching up with other visitors and the locals.
