TV antenna for caravan to replace Happy Wanderer T Bar type.

Just wondering if anyone is using one of THESE and if so, looking for any feedback re same.

I am looking to replace the old T bar, which has been sensational I might add, but doesn't support the digital channels on my new Kogan TV very well.

I can still use the old mast and fittings with the new antenna.

I have a kogan and also a happy wanderer TBar works perfectly on digital channels
Over a period of time the cables have been known to break just inside the housing
Pull it apart and just check connections
Just a matter of making new ends and re attaching

Thanks for that suggestion snapper. I'll check it out today. All my analogue channels are okay, just the digital no good.

lso in some areas you may have to go vertical.
To do this pull off one of the rubber ends on the crfoss bar then insert into the uprite tube. Great for Qld where often the signal is vertical and not horizontal.

Also as said above there may be a broken wire in the balum which is worth a look.

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

I dont believe this to be so for digital signals
Was the case for the old fm tv signal

I live in whyalla where fm now doesnt exist only digital and yes for fm we had to have vertical but not for digital we are digital only now as same as the riverland

Thanks Dodg. No go. Think I'll replace the whole cable tomorrow, with the heavier black one, rather than the skinny white one on it, which has been out in the weather on and off for 2 1/2 years now.

I have a digital signal, but it's like a chessboard with every second piece missing for a few secs, then says NO Signal..

snapper, is yours the happy wanderer T ?

yes T have used it all across sw west aust all around alice springs and in adelaide and all over eyre peninsula with out any problems receiving digital signals perfect reception and in the horizontal position
Definately souds like you have a connection problem ie a break in the cable somewhere

Hi all
The hi definition tv does not cover all of Australia yet the run out ends in the end of 2013 so you will get some channels on the the pre digital antenna. The one i have did not work In Tasmania as they have nearly changed over to HI Definition and use Vertical signal I have changed over to a wind up aerial with a extra bit attached on the side to catch the vertical signal.
