hi all new to this site and find it interesting reading. I have a 96 hilux deisel duel cab with 185000 ks seviced @ 5000ks doesnt use any oil in between changes just woundering as this is my first diesel how many ks on average would a 5l moter do before needing a rebuild.. cheers

It's only just run in buddy. I put a DTS turbo on
mine it's worth every bit of the 3 grand you will outlay makes it an entirely different vehicle. Keep those oil changes up and don't use cheap oil. If the oils too thick then number 4 big end starves of oil and you spit bearings. Another tip, if you ever hear a strange noise shut it down immediately and have it towed to a mechanic diesels are not cheap to fix.
