Little Wez - What to Buy?

Howdy All.
Yes, its true, I have Killed another Rocky.
Took 4 years, but I got it done in the end :)
So the big question is, what to buy now?
Thinking about my first real car, somewhere around $10,000
Any Suggestions?

Little Wez.

I reckon your a Roll Lux man Wes but if its to be $10k then go for an 80 series or GQ petrol as late as you can.

You might just find an early GU Petrol if you hang around the auctions though.

Stan, Robin
Rocky is a totally different vehicle to the Feroza.

Rocky was an awesome smaller 4wd - built like a little tank - had rigid axles front and rear (until about 1993), 2.8TD motor, 2 door, short wheelbase, highroof top, 2500kg towing capacity. They stopped producing them in 1998 - didn't sell a lot because they were priced high.

Feroza were smaller with 1.6 litre petrol motor; IFS etc

Here's a 1990 Rocky. Pretty hard to find them - only 2 on Carsales for the whole of Australia.

Gday Stan
I was not with Wes on the day. He did it all himself with no help. The wake will be on or about the 13 Feb . Not to sure what is going on. Little Wes is in charge , you will have to ask him.

It's a no Brainer,

Come on over to the Darkside Wez
It's gotta be an 80.
Parts are still cheap and easy to come by, eBay is your friend
Heaps of info on them, easy to work on, go anywhere, maybe I'm bias,
Nope, just tellin it the way it is.

Geez Jon

If Wez only wants to spend $10k on a 80 he certainly will be doing lots of repairs.

He will wear a track out going to the Wreckers lol lol.

Probably better of buying a Lada Niva lol lol lol.

Oh you're a harsh man Daza LOL.
There are plenty of 4.5lt petrols out there in good nick, save up some coin, and throw the 4.5 out & slot in a Gen3, Hmmm How good would that be?

Hmmm what would that set me back
LOL.

every night I dream I've won lotto, problem is, I don't buy tickets.
AHAHAHA
And the camper would have to hang on for dear life.

Stan,
Hmmm It would be nice to just play with for a couple hours, Nah
Wonder what the fuel economy is like?

Hi Little Wez. Your thinking about a real car. For $10,000 you should be able to buy 3 Rockies. Then you will have 3 real cars. Brian.

Gday Brian,
Its very hard to buy 3 Rockys: there's only 2 on Carsales for the whole of Australia! I think the owners hang onto them.
