So as not to take up a heap of space on a subject of non interest to most users of this Forum, I have generated a PDF document giving an overview of a couple of problems I had with Clearview Mirrors on my 200 series.

Also included are comments on the Warranty and Service provided by all involved in resolving this matter.

Not that I've had a problem with my mirrors, (on my second set now...I have a new vehicle) I have found dealing with the principal Mike very easy & friendly.

Sometimes it almost seems worthwhile copping a problem like that just to experience the joy of the service provided by the merchant. There really are some good guys around.

DD, can you provide detail about where they recommended you spray the INOX please?

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

G-B

Yep! not a problem. What I will do is take a pic of the driver side mirror with both mirrors in the required position and add some arrows etc to the pic before uploading and attaching to a followup post.

The followup post will include explanatory notes so that it will be as clear as mud. (LOL) Its very simple once you know where and how.

I'll do this tomorrow.

We're on our third set of Clearviews. First set wouldn't fit the 100S and were replaced with a new version. Second set had the rusty water problem and also wouldn't click-stop before contacting the door when folded in. Third set seems to have overcome all of the earlier problems.

Clearview were disastrous when trying to deal with them by e-mail. Subsequent phone contact with the boss has been first class and replacements have been made quickly and without fuss. No fun being part of product development, but they do stand by the product.

DD, I went there today with a problem and I too had first class service by the boss. New components that so many manufacturers would normally try to brush off. Told me that he had to maintain contact with his customers as they had so many ideas too. I had a shattering of the plate that keeps the detent position in one mirror. I would buy another set tomorrow for a new car
