Hello.
Just a quick thanks to they many members who gave advice and view points on 12 volt fridges.I asked a few week ago,and have finally purchased a brand new Engel 40 L 'MT 45 series II' fridge.
I did look at all advice and viewpoints given-it appeared all makes are highly thought off.But I also feel one has to consider the shape and size to suit one best-I liked the shape and size of the engel the best-it would fit and pack best for me.The trailblazer was tempting but just could not afford-along with allthe other related purchases-I just purchased a 25 amp hour charger at same time,along with other bits.
Anyhow-the engel is a nice looking unit too.Thanks for all your help.

Hi,
I purchased a new 40 litre Engel (38 litre?) a year or so ago. I positioned it in my 4WD such that opening the lid would cause it to slide to the right, and the hinges would disengage. I rang Engel for advice, and discovered that this must have been a common problem, and that they offer a kit to lock the hinges in position
