Need advice on basic tool kit and car part spares for off roading on HJ60 Landcr

Include a spare bypass hose. The little connection between the water pump and the thermo housing. Hiding nicely away it gets forgotten. It can be replaced without dismantling too much though.

A small tarp might come in handy when you need to get under the car and to put your nuts and bolts on. A can of stop leak, cable ties and spare fuses. But that's a lot for only 2 days off-road.

About 4 meters of fencing wire, great for holding up an exhaust, has many uses, a tub of grease, WD40, baby wipers(great for cleaning), Air compressor(12V), Tyre gauge, Gloves, shovel, Axe. LED Lights, Lighter, Plenty of water.
I have most of these things in a tub ready to throw in the back for when a day trip through the scrub is on the cards. Plus all the gear you've mentioned already.

don't know about the u joints never had problems with 60ser one's maybe a hand winch[ tirfor] or something less bulky to pull you backwards they come in handy when your alone ..oh and don't forget to drain the diesel water trap near the fuel tank I got stuck on the beach when mine cloged up lucky I had hose to bypass it their often overlooked.
