Gu 4.2 Patrol Air Filter, Which wau up?

Am I correct in installing my air cleaner element with the thick seal upwards.? Its a ryco element in a 4.2 GU 2005 Patrol.

The harder rubber seal goes to the bottom and the soft foam goes to the top.. The theory is that the rubber seal will support the weight of the filter and the foam will seal the top cover.. Michael

My filter is a. The thin seal appears to be the hard rubber one and the top one a thicker rubber/ foam. The thicker seal is reasonable hard but will compress. I assume the thicker seal is the one you believe should be on top. I will have to buy a genuine filter ..to see what the difference is as I think of foam as being much softer.
I appreciate your reply as the filter orientation was not clear in the manual.

Yes!! The hard rubber is the bottom seal, and the foam goes to the top! Michael
