Greetings forumites

Planning a trip up in the Snowys and had hoped to start at Bradley's Hut and trek north up to the Elliot Way at McPhersons Plains.

I hear today that this track (marked on all maps) is closed as a management trail....

Does anyone know if the road is open at the Bradley's Hut end?
How about the track up to Black Jack?
Or the Black Jack Logging Road?

Many thanks

Sorry, I cannot update you with the latest about road closures, but agree that NPWS would be a good start to find out. One thing - if it has been raining within say a week, the track from Bradley's to Black Jack can be VERY boggy. This alone could be a reason to close it. The view from the fire tower at Black Jack is awesome and well worth the effort of going there.

Thanks for the replies!

Tried Sparks and Wildfires in Khancoban but keep getting the answering machine. The Tumut office says "the computers are down..."
State Forests say it's "not our area"

FYI

I eventually spoke to Parks and Wildlife in Khancoban.

They assure me that the gates are closed at the "top" (ie south end near Bradley's Hut) and the "bottom" (north end at the Bago Forest boundary).

They have however been open until recent roadworks at Clover Flat, when they were closed.

With the proximity of the June long weekend when the gates would have been locked anyway, NPWS have decided to keep them locked for the winter.

The contact number at Khancoban is 02 6076 9180
