Hi RockyOne.

Yes. I went in july 2008. Telsta 3G was available at all the stops. Laura, Hann River, Archer River, Weipa, Morton Telegraph Station, Coen, Not sure about Bramwell Junction though as I did not stay there. Bamaga and Seisia. Great signal strenght overall Phone & wireless laptop. Enjoy the trip.

Thanks Es. Wow! That great. Mates of ours went up on 600's four years ago. Telstra guy almost all the way, other poor guy next to nothing with other carrier. As I am in my mates rig, I am hoping to mark locations of photos by taking a shot on my iPhone and use that when back in my DotCom editing. Thanks again. We have hit a fair few trails, so should be fun.

Ripper! Proves the blue tick works. I never have been much of a phone man so will take it as it goes. Must admit my iPhone 4.0 has done all I expected as we are 16k out in bush from country town. Thanks B E.

The 3G at the tip is just that at the tip only and not back at the car park.

There is only a very weak signal on the beach at Punsand and at the tip. this originates from Thursday Island, and is not strong enough for 3G.( on my phone anyway)

Thanks P A. Wonder if you would get a signal on top of those hills on the walk out to the tip.
