depends on amount of rain in the weeks before. current rain would dry out but it wont take as much closer to date to top up dampness in soil.

hi garri
as
hyden has only recorded low rainfall so far this month but that could change in next 24 hrs and into late june and early july
the track might be ok as of today but it only takes one good rain to turn the
holland track into a gooey slipery mess with water filled bogholes
as the
grey clay and red stuff out there can change rapidly from dust to very sticky and there are quite a few deep wheel track sections and bog holes that fill with water from it running down the long slopes to the valleys
the best thing to do is make a ph call to the
hyden garage
or the manager at the
wave rock caravan pk ph 98805022 and they will usually always know if the track has been closed and/or if someone has come or gone through
its all in the lap of the rain gods as to whether the weather will permit your travel
if you havent got one a copy of the book -explore the
holland track - it has all the imfo and history gps/
waypts and trip notes and includes wave
hill woodlines details as
well and is worth the $12 costmost news agents keep it or 4wd outlets
cheers
barry

Kondinin Shire have been closing roads east of
Hyden and many are up for review at 9am tomorrow. On this basis one would think the
Holland Track may be a little boggy.
