Sorry I don't seem to get them to work.

Mudgee showground closed to campers. Local C'van park complained to council.

Hi Peter.
I noticed that 76% of replies to the survey want the showground camping retained.

This is a major problem in country towns. I notice that the CMCA have been pushing for these showground camps to remain open. Some councils have had a change of heart & now only allow "self contained vehicles" to camp.

Cheers.

So they should be restricted to "self contained" ie NO waste water dumped on the ground which means you MUST have grey water tanks to empty into a dump point. That is the whole idea of low cost overnight stays as most of them don't have the infrastructure like caravan parks with respect to sewerage points etc.
Nothing worse than kitchen slops and shower water being dumped on the ground or grass.

Couldn't agree more Peter.
Once I work out how to capture my outdooor shower water, I will then be fully self contained.

We've seen a small kids inflatable pool with the shower tent in it.

Here is a link to the article that is being referred to (I suspect)...

Camping crackdown in Mudgee

There is already a number in caravan parks in Mudgee providing price tenison...

As it turns out, in this particular example the cost of staying at the showgrounds is actually higher than staying in one of the caravan parks, so it would appear it is being priced on the basis of pricing neutrality, as it should be.

There is already a similar thread on the boards at present, so maybe these should be consolidated...
