Truma E2400 works for me. More quiet than the Webasto.
Works a treat.

Hi Sue and Shaun
Shutting the door is usually enough to keep out the cold and the caravan soon warms up with two of us, and adding warm clothes such as tracksuits works for us. On cold nights i wear bedsocks.
Hence we have never thought it necessary to add a heater. If building a caravan from new (which we won't) it would be worth putting in a Webasto or similar diesel heater.
The only time we have needed a heater was when my husband had bronchitis, so we purchased a small but very effective fan heater and stayed in caravan parks for a few days until his coughing subsided. We have camped out and found ourselves in stiff frost and not felt cold inside our full caravan. The wind up with slide out beds was another story :O

We never thought it was a necessity either as we generally follow the sun, BUT having had an Eberspascher (S) installed don't know how we ever survived without it. Probably just 'survived'
Nowdays, dial up whatever temp you want.... and a heated ensuite is just BLISS!

Hi Denis.
There's joke in Friday Funnies, a fairly recent one, where a bloke wants a look at Hell. You should find it & read it!
Sorry Sue we've only got a tent. We hope to get a van one day if we win some money,!? so was interested in the answers.
Take care, safe travels.
Bye for now. Ma

Hi Sue and Shaun,
just installed Truma 2400 (purchased off ebay). Too damn cold in southern NSW for no heater..even with extra clothes, bed socks etc. I know it's a lot of money...for the luxury of warmth...but boy it is great!!
Cheers,
Ian
