Yes it was slow for awhile about an hour of so ago. It's OK now. It goes slow randomly and for varying length of time. I've given up trying to track and report it.

I have been having problems for quite a few weeks now. (I use IE) I emailed the contact us but never got a reply. I mentioned it to an IT friend who suggested I remove my Internet Security program and replace it with another that he recommended. Installed the new one this morning and so far EO is around 80% faster than it has been. Cheers,Bob

I was using the AVG internet security. As luck would have it it was about to run out of time. My friend suggested Norman Int. Sec. (The intermediate program as they list 3 ) I contacted them and they offered a better deal than what was on their website after I had told them I was recommended. $75 for 3 computers for a year. AVG were $132 for 2 computers for 2 years but I now have a third computer (work one) Bob

Hi esarby

Like Des, when i changed to Chrome from IE8 , i could use ExplorOz again. Prior to that it had become unusable most of the time. No problems tonight with Chrome. It is one of the slower sites i go to.

Hi Motherhen. I am using IE 9 on Widows 7. Intel Core i 7. Very fast on all programs. Opening E.O. is ok but opening posts is slow at times. If I switch to Hotmail or Google everything is back to speed. I have tried Chrome but the same thing occurs. I have had an I.T fellow check it but he can not find out why it only happens on E.O.

EO is the slowest site i use - while it downloads all those graphic adverts. Other sites with pictorial adverts can be slow. Caravanners forum with no adverts at all is quick in any browser.

To those people that believe EO is the only slow site they experience, I would hazard a guess that the other sites you use aren't so complex in terms of profile management and customisation. The problem is EO looks for things in your profile all the time. But.... some browsers just don't manage this as well as others. Each time this issue comes up, we advise how IE in particular is one that isn't ideal for the sort of smart features we utilise. There are other browers available to make your internet browsing much better - and you will find an improvement on other sites too, once you switch. Try Firefox.

Typically, things going slow on EO indicates you have a caching problem going on, which a restart will generally fix. So, whilst the problem might be caused by your computer generally geting clogged up, you might only be noticing it on EO.

Lately I have been restarting my computer every 2 days rather than leaving all screens open. Wow what a difference!

Hope this helps, Michelle
