July 2012 - A sign at the beginning at 80 Mile Beach states that the track is now closed - it's not only now "Aboriginal Land" and a permit is required, but it's also an active mine, and their sign also says "No Entry"
We did it in 2010, and it was open then, with no permits required?
Any new info would be appreciated

G'day,
that's the first I've heard of it.
We're heading that way in three weeks and everything I've heard up to now is that it is open but slow.
We still haven't got our permits, but it's only been 6 weeks.
I'll have to do so checking out.
Hoo roo,
Steve

Went past the 80 Mile Beach entry again, and noted (below) the 2 signs, both saying it's a "no go" road now??
1. Goldwyer Joint Venture Mine (phone) 08.9481 7477
2. Nyangumarta Warrap Aboriginal Corporation, contact Margaret Rose; (phone) 0448 350618
