Hi there, does anyone know if the
camping area next to the
Wollombi tavern is a
free camp area.

Hey Jeni, It was when we camped there a couple of years ago. We are going that way tomorrow, if I find out any more for you I'll let you know.

Thanks Gert, I am staying at McNamara Park in Broke tonight but it has a 3 day limit. I was looking at
Wollombi on my iPad and thought it looked nice. I am looking for somewhere for another few nights.

Sorry didn't get back to you. It was so busy at the pub we bypassed it. Did you end up staying there? What was it like camping at Broke?

Hi Gert, I went out to
Wollombi and had a look but the ground was quite wet and I didn't want to get bogged so I didn't stay. I stayed at Broke and it was great. It was very handy to all the Hunter Valley wineries etc and was a lovely
campground. Very large area with plenty of trees and picnic tables. Open fires are permitted too. It was really nice.
