hi there
has anyone else noticed that of late when someone gives advice in a thread or part of and you hi -lite the section of interest for example how to repair something
/or how to wire up a dual battery or redarc or the best nextg mobile ph/laptop /mapping system for travelling with etc etc
i have found that the current EO system wont allow one to run a hard copy off the thread or part of and this then makes it very difficult as i have had to manually write it all down as i dont have wi-fi where i could take my laptop out to the item being checked in the shed etc
i'm not into down loading theads and stealing stuff off here to sell and/ or profit from and find it a real bummer all you get now is the heading printed off the item and the rest is blank
there seems to be a block of some sort on this procedure
i have not altered or changed anything on my computor to cause this to happen
so i'm curious to know if anyone else has noticed this
cheers
barry

if all else fails you can copy the whole page, we use it a lot for tricky program steps and prepairing instruction books for POS operations and programs operations.........
Its called "Screen Capture" ......
1) Open up a blank MS Word doc...
2) Go back to the page you want to record the details off..
3) Hold down the Ctrl key and hit the "Print Screen"/Sys Rq key ...
4) Go back to the word doc and hold the cursor over the word doc and right click the mouse and and hit "paste"....
The exact copy of screen details will be now on the word doc as seen by you, you can crop or do what you like from there on in ........
Cheers
Joe

Mazcan
3 free options - alternatives to Office.
I can recommend OpenOffice. Suspect Google requires a Google
sign up and they have an 'interesting' approach to privacy. Don't know the third app on the list (Abiword) but reading web reviews it appears to be fairly widely used and recommended.
Good thing about word processors is that you can copy/paste/edit and format to your heart's content. Even make one big file of useful hints.

Hi, in those cases I just bring up the screen you want , then press " Print Screen" then open "Paint" , then "Edit", then "Paste".and what was on the screen will appear, then " File " , Save As, and save it where ever you like.
I then open it in " Office Picture Manager" and crop etc , untill it is what you want
As you said you need it down the shed, I than transfer it on a Memory stick to the laptop and away you go .
Cheers Des.
