feedback on these seem to fairly large for a single axle

If you intend using it where the Cruiser will go I would suspect the ramp over and rear departure angles would be a limiting factor as to where you could possibly take it.
Best to
check that with someone who knows about the issue. Don't just take the word of a caravan dealer/adviser. They may claim more than is reality.
