Hi Everyone,
I am planning a 12 month camping trip around Australia.
Just a quick question, what do most people in my position do in regards to their mail?.
Besides family and friends picking up the mail from home or arranging with Australia post to hold your mail is there any other way to have your mail directed to whatever part of Australia I will be currently at.

Happy four wheel driving
Alfred.

This subject has come up that many times in the last few months that maybe (just a suggestion) David could include this as part of the Trip Planning or On the Road section of this site.

Most of the information is already on the system by way of previous replies that i wouldn't take much to put together.

As I say, it is only a suggestion, but I think obviously a subject matter that will keep being revisited.

Alfred
We have used Landbase for two years, each trip being 5-6 months in outback and will use them again this year for our winter trip of 6 months north.
Haven't had any problems with mail getting to us.
Just make sure you have it sent to a reliable Post Office and check what days delivery will be. We made the mistake two years ago requesting mail be sent to Georgetown PO in far north Qld - mail only arrived twice a week in the town, so had to wait there five days for mail to arrive. Not much to do in Georgetown after 1-2 days!!
