Hi all

We are proposing a trip along the CSR mid year possibly May / June (but before mid July) travelling in either direction and would be keen for another vehicle to join us for the trip, joining up in either Halls Creek or Wiluna. We have had extensive 4WD experience in Australia having crossed the Simpson two years ago. We would ideally like to take about 20 days to do the CSR to pick up some of the side trips and make the trip a real experience.

We are two adults with a Nissan Patrol Diesel and a great sense of fun and adventure.

Hope there is someone out there to join us on this fabulous trip!

Re. CSR direction of travel - this may help with your decision on which way to go.

I haven't done the whole CSR, but I found from my trip down the CSR from Durba to Well 5 in 2001, that travelling South makes for a much easier trip. The dunes are 'flatter' on the northern edge then on the the southern side. My brother has done several trips up the CSR, and the 'dune difficulty rating' he had recorded was a lot less travelling south.Subaru Forester
