I am in Alice and looking at travelling up the
Cattlewater Pass to join the
Plenty Highway west of Harts Range.
Cattlewater pass starts at Claraville just north of
Arltunga Reserve.
Any advise on this track would be appreciated
Thank you
Wayne B

Hi Wayne, I seem to recall reading somewhere that CP was closed & access to the Plenty was available further west via
Pinnacles Rd. This was several months back
& things may have changed. Some wise reader will no doubt know the current
situation..cheers....oldbaz.

Hi Wayne,
I traveled the
Cattlewater Pass from the north to south on the 9th July 2012 and there were no signs at either end saying that it was closed.
There is one steep jumpup if heading north, but that has a bypass when the the water in the
dam is low.
I also did the
Pinnacle Rd and found the
Cattlewater Pass more interesting.
Cheers
Peter

Looks like CWP is closed.
So I will go via the
Pinnacle road instead
