"This track is a quick and easy way to get from the
Great Central Road through to the Abandoned Section of the Old
Gunbarrel Highway."
It is my understanding that the Gunbarrel Hwy between Jackie
Junction and Heather Hwy is closed to all non alocal traffic, and that the permit does NOT grant permission to travel on that piece of road. That being the case, you are supposed to travel from the Gunbarrel Hwy to
Warburton via the Heather Hwy, and then via the
Warburton North Road to rejoin the the Abandoned section via Jackie
Junction. At least that was the case in 2005.
