Winds at Arkaroola

This is the first time I've had internet access since Tuesday. We were at Arkaroola then, when the winds hit they were over 100km/hr and as some may know the caravan park is very open. There was iron sheets ripped off the buildings flying through the air. Some rooftop tents were destroyed as were tents, we had our camper trailer damaged, bending a couple off the frame poles and is unable to be erected till fixed so we are off to Melbourne for some repairs so our plans have changed. Not doing Strezleckie track but will do the Darling river run from Menindee to Bourke. Hoping all goes well

G'day Tony Z

We had very wild winds like that at Broken Hill from Monday night so we moved on down towards Burra and the wind was very mild during the day but last night they went off again, with very cold rain. Felt like snow was in the air when I got up this morning.

Light to heavy drizzle continues on and off at Terowie and from the look of the sky it ain't going to end going time soon. Safe travels.

Hi,

I love it when I read that somebody has enjoyed the S.A. country winds and cold weather. It's an experience hey? never mind it gives you an excuse to return.
Cheers P&J
