Hi All,
We are looking at getting a weber Q and would like to know if anyone has used the Q100E to
cook for 6 people, are they big enough? as the brocure claims them to be, or would you recomend the larger Q220?
We are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids and we are tossing up between the Q100E or the Q220 which will give more room to
cook on. We would also like to take it on our camping trips so size could be a factor.
regards
Trevor

Wehave cooked for 6 on the Baby Q but sometimes we do the food in batches eg start with kebabs or vegetables and finish with chops etc. This works for us as each batch cooks quite quickly and we can take our time. The Baby Q is very easy to transport and we always take it in our van.
The next size up may be the best for you if you always
cook for 6 or more. When camping or just doing family meals you will usually want to
cook everything at once. Also the Baby Q will only do a smallish pizza, roast or loaf of bread which is perfect for us but you might appreciate more space for these.
They are a great design! Lynne

I've both the 200 and the 100 - both with higher lid and temp gauge. Both are a great bit of kit. Used to take the bigger one with us when camping but found it to be too large for just the 2 of us. Biggest issue was space and physically lugging it from the camper to cooking spot. Also used to take the fold up stand you can get but an absolute PITA to store so now use either a table or a fold out footstool with a piece of ply on top. Got the Baby Q for a good price at a camping show and now carry it rather than the 200. Smaller footprint, MUCH easier to carry and perfect for 2. Would it cope with mum, dad and 4 kids? Probably at a pinch but as Lynne said you'd really need to do a few batches which may not be an issue for you. Whatever you decide you'll absolutely love the Q!!
Cheers
TG
PS - reckon higher lid & temp gauge models are better - more space for a roast etc & able to fine tune heat easier

Thanks all for the encouraging reply's, we went shopping yesterday and got a Q220 (that was the one the wife give the nod of approval to) , so far we have only managed to
cook some snags for lunch today.
At least that was some thing exciting for the day, better than the surgical removal of a wisdom tooth that I was told needed to happen soon, haven't rushed into making the appointment yet.......... LOL.
