Stockton Beach is the 4WD and dune buggy playground capital of Australia. Just 2 hours north of Sydney via the freeway, this huge expanse of sand dune area is open for camping and frolicking.

Stockton beach is the 4WD and dune buggy playground. Just 2 hours north of Sydney via the freeway, this huge expanse of sand dune area is a great place to get some sand driving experience.

All, please be aware that fines are being placed on those caught in the restricted areas, this is not a per vehicle fine, it is for each person who trespasses. It can be quite costly.

If you are visiting... please read the posters, the signs and keep to the allowed areas.

The beach run from Lavis Lane to Anna Bay should only be attempted 2 hours each side of LOW tide. Outside this time you will put your family and vehicle in danger, or be tempted to go into the restricted areas.

Tread lightly and lets keep this beach open...

And one of the rangers wasn't very friendly there a few weeks ago. I got the feeling he would open his fine book at the slightest provocation. But then putting up with the general public would get to anyone sooner or later I suppose.
