Oolloo Crossing is on the
Daly River and part of the Dougls / Daly Esplanade Conservation Area. The crossing is accessed from the Stuart Highway, 6 km north of Hayes Creek, via Dorat Rd and Oolloo Rd. Oolloo Crossing is 48 km from the Dorat Rd / Oolloo Rd intersection. Great care needs to be taken if planning on using this crossing. Even at the end of the dry season, the water flow over the crossing can be very swift. The entry and exits from the crossing are loose sand while the crossing itself is made of river rocks. The land on the southern side of the river is Aboriginal Land, while the northern side consists of private land consisting of a number of farms running cattle and or growing water melons.
