This is a large
camping area,
well patronised by the travelling public. Now known by the name Kerribee Park Camping Ground, it is located at the Rodeo Grounds, just out of
Mareeba on the road to
Chillagoe. It is open between April and November only.
Parking is on a level area with powered and unpowered sites. Water is available adjacent to
parking spaces but needs to be filtered for drinking. Smaller quantities of drinking water are available at the rodeo bar area.The area is capable of holding hundreds of vans. It is run, very efficiently, by volunteers.
