Beachport is a small coastal town on South Australia’s
Limestone Coast, about 372 km south-east of
Adelaide, located on the northern shore of Rivoli Bay. Established in the mid-19th century as a port for shipping wool and grain, the town retains several historic buildings, including the 1878 jetty and old customs house. The town sits at the edge of a coastal
lagoon system and is surrounded by farmland and native vegetation.Today Beachport is a quiet holiday and fishing town with a permanent
population of around 400. Attractions include the historic Beachport Jetty, nearby
Lake George and Beachport Conservation
