I have to go from Canberra to Khancoban in a few weeks and the quickest way is across country to Adaminaby, up to Mt Selwyn and into the Kosciusko National Park, Cabrumurra and then out of the National Park and on to Khancoban.

So when using the road infrastructure and just transiting (not stopping) Kosciusko National Park are the substantial park fees still payable??

Thanks

Garry

No fees pass means you can't really stop or park anywhere.

Hi Garry

There are no fees during the summer months for the route you have chosen.

I went through 3 weeks ago and had to stop and explain that I was travelling straight through. They issued me with a no fee pass with the conditions on it. If you want to stop anywhere in the park its $16 I think from memory. A bit rich when you can drive and camp all through the Vic High Country for free.

Hi Mike

During the summer months the only two collection or pay booths are on the road to Thredbo and on the road to Perisher. Garry is not going that way. There isn't a collection booth open on the Mt. Selwyn Cabramurra road during summer, only open for winter skiing.

We have just had 5 weeks camping at Thredbo Diggings camp.

Transits are allowed.

Thanks for that. We went through Thredbo and assumed the others were the same. Cheers.

Thanks for that Dave - I also went into the park through Thredbo camping last year and I also assumed the Selwyn access would be the same.

Cheers
