Hi all. We plan to stay at
Stuarts Point, MVC, Caravan
Park, around the middle of Feb 13 for a week +. Just want to know if it is a nice, quiet
park, with small necessary shops nearby. Also is there a RSL or Bowls within walking distance.
Your advice please

Hi Isa Nomads,
Stuarts Point has all the things you are looking for and, while I have been there a couple of times, I have not stayed there. Gets pretty busy there on the weekends as it is a popular spot.
I live in the general area (between Kempsey and Port Macquarie) and my prefference is
Hat Head. Still very popular but a quieter
park more suited to the
grey nomad type of traveller such as myself.
There is a small bowling club at
Hat Head and a
general store of sorts selling many things.
You can also drive back into Smithtown and have a feed at the Riverside Hotel there which is a popular spot doing great meals.
Well they did the last time we went out there.
It was a popular restaraunt and a good night out last time I went. Tucker was world class.
From the highway you take the Smithtown turnoff into Smithtown then head toward
South West Rocks for about 4 or 5 K then turn right to
Hat Head
Hope this has helped,
Cheers, Bruce.
