We have just bought a used Aliner and are thinking of getting an annex (the awning was included in sale price) Does anyone know roughly how much they cost new and second hand?

Hi Sue,

It depends on several things. Also Aliner has several types of vans. You need to perhaps upload a picture of your van. You could email me a copy of the picture to carlsp100@gmail.com.au and say the length of the barrel (round tube) on your awning. Generally you are looking at about $2500 depending on what type of annex.

Thanks for that, sounds like there is a bit of variation.

What is this "barrel (round tube) on your awning" you are talking about?

As far as I know there is only one Aliner, you can see it at http://www.avan.com.au/products_aliner.html. There are several similar models but they all have different names and lengths.

It's a furphy. The Aliner and Cruiseliners do not lend themselves to a straight awning rolled on a barrel.

Sue,

We had a new Cruiseliner about 5 years ago and bought a new annexe for it (walls and draft skirt only, it came with an awning). Mesh end walls with canvas roll-up closures. The large wall was mesh with clear vinyl roll-up closures and a door. A custom job, a bit heavy, but worth it. The total cost about $1100 from memory. From Valley Canvas not too far from Maitland, NSW.
