My Place Rating:
Several neat tidy
camp grounds. The main
camp ground has clean pit
toilets,
well ventilated with small rain water tanks to wash your hands. On the opposite side of the road is a
small lake and second small
camp ground with no
toilets. To the east of the historic buildings is a further
camp ground, again with no
toilets. (Short walk to main
toilets).
About 100m east of the eastern
camp ground is scout loop track. It does a 400m loop through the bush and back to the road. There are numerous sites along the track capable of taking camper trailers or caravans. There are pit
toilets half way around
the loop. They are not vented and though reasonably clean, they are on the nose and have no rain water tanks. Girls may wish to take a porta loo.
Detractions - Number of flies attracted by the considerable amount of horse dung. Little to no grass on sites to keep the dust down.
Overall a reasonable site.
