Hi everybody
I want to let you know about my very bad experience with buying solar panel on ebay, so nobody get ripped of like us.
I bought 150W tri-fold panel from m2cptyltd (ebay sellers name) for $548,~ incl. postage. I know … I paid lot more than I should.
Silly me, I taught if I pay more, lesser chance to get bad product ….. it’s not a case with this seller.
Panel come in reasonable time, but it was very badly made. Hinges were inadequate (not strong enough) for whole construction and there were missing screws. The screws were wrong type anyway, they were round heads but panel should have countersink screws on hinges, so it can open properly.
Whole thing was twisted. When open, it was sitting on the locks.
Panel was also very badly packaged, so badly it was smashed on almost every corner. Bag was cut thru and its zipper cut cross.
I have to pay $50,~ postage back to the seller out of my pocket, otherwise PayPal wouldn’t get me my re-fund. Lona, the seller was so brazened to even call me a liar in
feedback. She accused the courier then she written in
feedback that we received perfect product.
I sincerely hope, no one here will get “done” like us.

Hi Danna. That is a horrible experience. It has been posted many times on the
forum, there are two main sellers on eBay that are good ones. bit deals and ozplaza.living. I have had nothing but satisfaction from both of them. Cheers,Bob.

Thanks Bob for tip.
We ordered on ebay:
136 Watt Flexible Roll Out Solar Panel Charge Kit - MPPT Regulator & Accessories,
by rsolar11
We paid lots of money, but product sounds top quality.
I will let know everybody how did we go with this one.
We are quite pressed for space in our Troopy, since we don't want anything on roof or in a tow. Everything what we need must fit inside car and we sleep inside as
well.
Cheers Dana

I believe that business that provide good service should be rewarded with a referral.
I just bought some made-to-measure semi-flexible solar panels from
this company.
Excellent service, quick delivery, excellent price for custom-sized panels to fit my caravan roof space.
They do rigid 120 watt fold-up kits as
well. Prices for standard-sized panels are considerably cheaper than their made-to-measure, so are excellent value.
The panels I got seem to be very efficient. I'm super satisfied.
No special interest in the company, just a happy customer.
Cheers

Hi Frank.
I actually looked at this company, but we needed panel with large wattage, at least 120W but 150W was an ideal size. We have 35L Waeco fridge/freezer, Panasonic Toughbook CF 31, VMS and some batteries to be charged, more or less every second day. But I sincerely hope I bought a right think. I will all let you know ..... it is on its way from Westlake QLD.
Ciao Dana

Last year when we purchased our solar system for the 4WD we looked at everything available on EBay etc and then called a local Solar Companies .
They designed a 150w system for us, gave it a two day
test run and for a price which was comparable than the EBay sellers.
No problems with the system but it's nice to know that LOCAL support is only a phone call away.
Plus we supported a local business.
