If this couple had a basic fire blanket and knowledge this could have been averted!

Even if they had a fire blanket the chance of them using it is very low....... in situations where people panic logic usually disappears and they go back to human instinct..... "remove the fire to a safer area or remove the substance away from the cause".
It's not the first time they would of cooked like that.
