We bought this to not only carry garbage but also smelly canoe booties, and the sullage hose, rather than have them in the rear of the vehicle. It sits neatly on our van spare wheel. It is strongly constructed, lightweight and the storage compartment is roomy, with a mesh bottom to allow liquids and odours to escape. We also love that the EzplorOz logo on it advertises that I am a member. (Bought it as a 41st wedding anniversary gift for my husband).
