Hi all

I used glue lined heatshrink. Available from most electrical wholesalers.

Hi Gerard, do you do the same thing at both ends? Heatshrink sounds fine at the end with wires, but what about the other end. Does heat shrink come with a closed end?? Cheers

Have the glue lined heatshrink extend just past the end of the light and gently squeeze it closed with a pair of pliers when hot. No need to squeeze hard because the glue inside will seal the end off nicely. It may be messy as the heatshrink will have a tendency to 'slip' of the end when hot, so be careful. When cool you can trip it neat with a pair of side cutters or scissors. Practice on a similar sized piece of plastic if you're worried about wrecking your light.
