Have found this site and have joined just in the nick of time. I am due to retire on 13 Sept - day before the election. Without being partisan I glad I wont be in the 'department' on 16 Sept.
Love travelling this country and have done it for years - both for work and for pleasure but need to get rid of the Honda and get a Prado and CT (used) to expand our horizons.
On a big learning curve and I have spent every day reading all of the great advice and stories on ExploreOz.

Welcome Terry, yes there is a heap of very useful info on this site, it certainly helped my wife & I when we first bought a caravan to do a bit of travelling & saved us heaps of $$$s in drawing on the knowledge of experienced people.
Pity about having to sell the Honda though. Do you mind me asking why on earth you would buy a Toyota? Maybe a Nissan would satisfy your needs a bit better?
Well worth considering, I think. :)
Anyway what ever your decision, enjoy your retirement and happy & safe travelling. Cheers

G'day Terry
A good move to join exploroz.
We have a used Jayco Outback Eagle sitting in the
Classifieds section, and while I'm guessing you are wanting something a little more upmarket, I believe in the old adage of never letting a chance go by. We are in Macgregor.
Probably a dumb thing for a would-be seller to say, but I'm advised that the pre-loved market is very flat at the moment, so whatever you get, you are entering a buyer's market. Good luck with your purchases, and with the retirement experience.
Cheers
John
