has anyone here had any experience with a body lift on a 80 series ? I have a 5 inch suspention lift and was hopeing to get another 25 to 50 mm in a body lift .
With a 25 mm lift is the L/R selector going to have problems with the tunnel ? and will the radiator need shifting ? if anyone here has done one , I would love to hear your input

on the GQ, you cut a V out of the floor for the L/H shifter
Remove the radiator lower shroud section.

Thats the other bit u will have to do..
Measure the distance from the bar to the lights, see if they will clear or foul.. otherwise your ok.
its not a hard job, ripping
mine out in a week, takes about 4-6 hours on a GQ with beer, theres a howto on my site www.gqpatrol.com that may give you a better idea.

If it's the same as the 75 series I lifted [below], the steering column had enough extension to handle the 2" lift, but the radiator needed to be dropped and remounted so the cowling would stay the same in relation to the fan. Royce www.funshow.com.au

Hi Eric
There will be heaps of info on lcool, apparently easy job, 1 inch can be done with most std bolts, (moving them forward 1 hole) 2 requires rad support bolt holes to be redrilled, with bigger tyres the body does need to go up, can do other tricks to get the fronts forward like the caster bushes replacing the front arm pivot bush.
If u want i have a set of 6 inch dobson springs/shox/pannies/extensions /etc etc etc i dont use anymore.
