A few years ago I had 2 liftup side windows made for the troopy at a cost of $1400 for the pair. I have decided to get another set done and have just been quoted $1600 per individual window so I won't be going ahead with that quote. ( same company).
I remember reading in one of the 4wd mags approximatley a year ago of a bloke who made his own liftup sides made out of aluminium or something similar. My question is has anyone else made their own or know what magazine this article was in or even better the bloke who did this job?
This liftup windows are a great bonus for the troopy and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Sludgie

When we had troopies I looked at doing that too, problem was getting someone to make a legal window to do the job. When I did it the cost was very similar to yours as the window has to meet ADR compliance, you just can't fit any window.
I have seen a blanking panel made to suit the opening and then a slightly smaller sized caravan window fitted into the blanking panel. Not legal but probably the cheapest way to go.
You could fit an ADR compliant Motorhome window to the blanking panel but they are more expensive and sizes are different and of smaller variety.
