Guys, I know this is gonna sound pretty daft, but I took the aerial off my patrol a few months ago for carpark reasons, and its only a crappy 27mhz radio anyway so I don't really need it, BUT I'm goin away in a few weeks, and was trying to remember which way the wires connect to the aerial.

There's a centre insulated screw terminal and an offset screw terminal on the actual aerial, and I was trying to find out if its meant to be the centre of the co-ax cable that goes to the core of the aerial or vice versa.

cheers.

SB,

the centre core of the coax goes to the centre of the antenna base. the shield will go to the earth of the antenna base
