We will be travelling along this road in July and need to know if unleaded petrol is available at Tarrcoola,
Cook or
Rawlinna. We will be carrying an extra 120 litres with us to do the
Great Central Road, but this is not enough for the access road.

4WD monthly had a good story on the Trans-Australia Railway/Trans Australia Access Road in the April 2002 issue, you might still be able to score a copy at your local newsagent,

Brooks - I'm pretty sure that fuel for the Trans Access Rd is only avail. at Kalgoorlie,
Forrest and Glendambo (761km is the longest distance between fuel stops).

Yes
Forrest is the only spot and it will cost you about $2.50 a litre. But it's a great spot to
camp for a day or so - lovely people but keep of their lawn.

Thanks for that Greg, we have decided to carry all our fuel needs as we are unlead. If you have been on that track recently, could you possibly let me know the condition of it, definately going in July, but would like to know what we are in for!
