Getting there
Benarkin is about two hours drive north-west of
Brisbane off the Aguilar Highway.
Turn off at the Benarkin Day Use area, a popular stopover on the highway for travellers. The camping areas are 18 - 20km from Blackbutt along the forest drive. Conventional access is possible with care along 16km of gravel with steep, narrow, winding sections.

Getting there
Mapleton lies between Nambour and Kenilworth, about two hours drive north of
Brisbane. To reach the Gheerulla
camping area and trail bike area, turn off the Eumundi-Kenilworth Road at Sam Kelly Road, 6km east of Kenilworth. The
camping area is 2km off the main road.

Getting there
Brooyar is just 20 minutes north-west of Gympie or two and a half hours drive north of
Brisbane. Head 10km north of Gympie along the Bruce Highway then turn left onto the Wide Bay Highway and drive 7-8km to the turnoff to the
campground. Caravan access is via Peterson Road off the Wide Bay Highway.

Getting there
Tuan lies between the
Tin Can Bay military training area and the township of Boonooroo. The forest is about 20 minutes' drive east of
Maryborough. Head towards Boonooroo then take the
Cooloola Coast Road. Drive 19km along the
Cooloola Coast Road to the Tinnanbar turnoff. The Log Dump turnoff is 7km along this gravel road and the Hedleys turnoff is a further 4.7km. The Log Dump and Hedleys camping areas are 1km and 3km off the Tinnanbar Road.

Gladstone Road and accessible by conventional vehicle. The gravel access road is unsuitable for towing caravans.
Kalpowar can also be reached from the Bruce Highway and is 80km south-west of
Gin Gin or 36km north-west of
Gin Gin. The
camping area is 3km from
Kalpowar township.

Heifer Creek Road is actually the local title for the Gatton Clifton Road. Travelling from
Brisbane you take the Gatton turnoff on the
Toowoomba Road. About 5 kilometres west of Gatton is the Ma Ma Creek Turn Off. About another further 5 kilometres down this road is a
fork in the road. The left turnoff goes to Tent
Hill. The other goes to Ma Ma Creek and on to Clifton. Along Ma Ma Creek Road near Ma Ma Creek is a cutting called the
