Hi all
I'm looking for an external speaker to suit my Hema navigator as the the standard inbuilt speaker is next to useless even turned up to max volume.
I purchased a 2watt GME external speaker that just plugs in the jack that comes fitted with the unit and that is even worse and no volume control, any ideas?
thanks :-) Frank

Frank,
without knowing your vehicle is it possible to plug the external jack of the Hema unit into one of the RCA ports at the back of your car stereo so that it will play through that? I put an aftermarket unit in the Patrol and then moved it into the Landcruiser and made sure that I had all the extra jacks at the rear wired at the time. These sit under the carpet for any occassion that I may wish to hook something into it.
Just a thought.
Cheers Mick

Hi Frank
You can always try an FM rebroadcaster - the type you use on iPoods and other MP3 players. Just plug into earphone/external speaker jack and find a vacant FM station. Cheap from Dickies or Jacar and the like

Sorry, don't know which navigator you have, but the HN6 already has FM transmitter built in. Would assume the others may be the same.
Perhaps you don't want it to go through your stereo?
Cheers

Our Hema5 has bluetooth option and nis channelled through the car radio, no problems, just adjust volume to your own level.
