I have a 4000 powertank that is about 9 years old and the battery has died. Has anyone changed the battery in one of these & can give details on how to do it. Any idea on what the supplier charges to do the change over?

The unit has been brilliant up to now.

Thanks

I had the battery die in a SCA powerpack and was able to get a replacement battery (Century brand) off the shelf at SCA. Fitting it was as simple as opening up the powerpack, removing the old battery, connecting the new one, then close the powerpack case. Easy, even for a hopeless non-tech like me.

Thanks David, at the end of the day I will attack it but it didn't appear to be overly simple to get into it.

I have one of these, similar age, and had to have the battery replaced about a year ago.

I was in Darwin at the time and went to a battery mob up there who had 40AH battery to fit.

They did have to alter the connectors to fit the battery as it did not have the same teminals as the original one.

It was quite a squeeze to get it all back together as there is quite a bit of stuff inside the case.

I'm glad I did'nt attempt it myself !

From memory it cost me around $130.00 all up.

Cheers

Tony

If you take it somewhere like Battery World, they should be able to help you out.

They sorted out my power pack when the batteries died.
