Gday
I am doing a little research and need to find a site that will give me the Lat and Longs of this country. Any help will be appreciated.

If you are on small download limits then Google Maps will give it to you with less download size. When you are looking at a map, zoom in to your spot, right click on the spot and click "What's here."

Peter

I don't have a "Whats here" option. ????

Also any idea how to get rid of the "target" in the middle of the screen?

Phil - I don't know why you can not find the "Whats here" link. Are you right clicking on the on the map first? It's a standard feature on Google maps. When you right click on the map you get an little menu, its the 6th item on the menu.

I don't understand what you mean by the "target," are you referring to the pin that indicates the spot that you typed into the search box at the top? Why do you want to get rid of something you asked Google to do?

There is a comprehensive help section for the programme. You can find the link at the bottom of the LH panel or go to Help Link

You can get lat and longs for places from the Geoscience Australia Website.

If that's not what you need a search of the site might turn something up.

LOL, not only is it all here, but you would really struggle to find a website with more detail and information on that stuff.

Sometimes it is too easy to forget that the forum is just a small part of Exploroz. I am often amazed at the investment in information ( and I am sure time) you guys have put here.

Hi Muzbry

For me there is only one place that I go to for all the Latitudes and Longitudes that I need, and sorry it is not here on ExplorOz.....sorry David and Michelle.....LOL

Degree Confluence Project

And then when you are only talking about Australia, then you go to this page:

Confluences in Australia

It is a great way to see many great places in Australia that you would otherwise never think of visiting. So do you think I am hooked on confluences......well I rank in the top 50 in the World.

The 52 Confluences that I have visited

Cheers
