Floor console & door pockets for 79 series Cruiser ute

I don't know of a proper console to fit between the bucket and the 11/2 seat. You can get those ones that sit on the gearbox hump. Here is a photo.



Other than that you have replace the 1 1/2 seat with a bucket. I fitted a console to my old 75 series from a V8 ute.



A bucket is not that hard to fit. All the captive nuts are there hidden under the floor. You have to measure exactly where the holes are on your drivers bucket seat and then transpose those measurements to the passenger side. You then drill small pilot holes and fell with a piece of wire whether you are in the center of the hidden nut. If all is good you drill a large hole making sure you don't damage the nut. I also use a vacuum cleaner to catch the swarf.

Bought my door pockets from central 4wd accessories in Perth, not that it's much good to you over in QLD, but brand is "outback" so you may have luck on Mr google.
"Department of Interiors" may be able to help out as well for both items.

I've seen a lot of door pockets for 79series. but the best I have seen bar none are the factory GXL 80series front door pockets - they are dead easy to fit and are the same factory colour as the 79series. See if you can pick up a set from the wreckers.
