Here are a couple of ideas that I have picked up around on my travels. I have found them helpful, I hope you do also.
Most of us have PVC tubes for poles, awning bars or fishing rods. Add a drawer handle to the screw cap. It makes it a lot easier to remove.
I addition to drawer handle add a Fishing Wire Trace to the handle and rivet the end to the main part of the pipe. You will not loose the ends.
Buy a couple of dog collars from the cheap $2 warehouse. They are great for securing your awning bars on your caravan while travelling.
Rivetted a piece of aluminium sheeting to the A frame. It helps keeping your cables out of the dirt, your external hose connected to the tap can lie in there, catches anything you drop from the front boot of your caravan and helps prevent stones flying up when travelling and damaging the van.

Hi Keith,
I got some black elastic staps with velcro on the ends for our awning arms from the Reject
shop in Inverell NSW. our local
shop does not have them but I am sure they are not the only Reject
shop in Australia to have them. They were a 2 pack for $2.00
You can wrap them around the arm pretty tight and they dont come loose.
Make sure they are put on anti clockwise or the wind may get under them and peel them off if fitted the other way.
Thanks for sharing,
Cheers, Bruce
